These General Terms and Conditions apply to:

1.2 Acceptance of the Terms
By making a booking, purchasing a ticket, or participating in an activity, the participant confirms that they have read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions.
The person making a booking on behalf of multiple participants declares that they are authorized to do so on behalf of all participants. This person is responsible for informing the other participants about the booking details and these General Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Additional Terms
Certain activities may be subject to additional product, ticket, transport, or venue-specific terms and conditions. These will be communicated before or during the booking process.
Where services are provided by a third-party supplier, the terms and conditions of that supplier may also apply. In the event of any conflict between terms, the provision that is most specific to the participant shall prevail, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

- Organizer: Hop On Hop Off Holland or the third party responsible for carrying out the activity;

2. Formation of the Agreement
2.1 Offer
All offers made by Hop On Hop Off Holland are non-binding until the booking has been confirmed in writing or electronically by Hop On Hop Off Holland or the booking platform used.
2.2 Booking Confirmation
The agreement is concluded as soon as the booking has been confirmed and the participant has received a booking confirmation or ticket.
The booker is responsible for checking the booking confirmation immediately upon receipt. Any inaccuracies, including an incorrect date, departure time, activity, boarding location, or number of participants, must be reported to Hop On Hop Off Holland as soon as possible.
2.3 Incorrect Information
The booker is responsible for providing complete and accurate information. Any consequences arising from incorrect or incomplete information shall be borne by the booker, unless the error is demonstrably attributable to Hop On Hop Off Holland.
2.4 Obvious Errors
Obvious typographical, printing, programming, publication, or pricing errors shall not be binding upon Hop On Hop Off Holland. If it should reasonably have been apparent that an error had occurred, no rights may be derived from the incorrect information
3. Prices and Payment
3.1 Prices
All prices are stated in euros (€) and include VAT and any other taxes or charges required by law, where applicable.
3.2 Additional Charges
Any booking, reservation, payment, or service fees will be clearly displayed before the booking is completed.
Costs not expressly stated as being included, such as food, beverages, personal expenses, gratuities, parking fees, or optional activities, are not included in the price.
3.3 Payment
The full booking amount must be paid using the payment method and within the payment period specified during the booking process.
If payment is not received in full or on time, Hop On Hop Off Holland reserves the right to cancel the booking. Any costs already incurred may be charged to the booker.
3.4 Price Changes
Once a booking has been confirmed, the agreed price will, in principle, not be increased.
Price adjustments are only permitted where allowed by applicable law, for example as a result of changes in taxes, government levies, or other mandatory charges imposed by public authorities.
4. Tickets and Valid Excursion Reservations
4.1 Valid Ticket
Participation in an activity and access to a coach, minibus, boat, attraction, or any other location is only permitted with a valid excursion reservation or a valid ticket issued by or on behalf of the Organizer.
4.2 Ticket Inspection
Participants must be able to present their ticket, either digitally or in printed form, upon request.
The Organizer may request proof of identity where necessary to verify the validity of the ticket, the participant’s age category, or eligibility for a discounted fare.
4.3 Personal Tickets
Tickets may not be resold, copied, altered, or used for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of the Organizer.
Any ticket that is invalid, altered, copied, previously used, or obtained fraudulently may be refused without any right to a refund.
4.4 No Public Transport Service
Any coach or transfer service forming part of a booked excursion is not a public transport service.
Boarding is exclusively permitted to participants holding a valid reservation for the relevant excursion.
The transfer may not be used as public transport or as a stand-alone transportation service unless expressly offered as such.
5. Cancellation by the Participant
5.1 General
A cancellation is only valid after it has been submitted through the booking platform or in writing to Hop On Hop Off Holland and has been confirmed by Hop On Hop Off Holland or the relevant booking platform.
The moment the cancellation is received by the appropriate party determines the applicable cancellation period.
5.2 Cancellation Periods
Unless different conditions are expressly stated during the booking process, the following cancellation policy applies:
Keukenhof Tours
Full refund when cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled start or departure time.
Flower Parade Tours
Full refund when cancelled up to 72 hours before the scheduled start or departure time.
Countryside Tours
Full refund when cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled start or departure time.
Day Trips
Full refund when cancelled up to 48 hours before the scheduled start or departure time.

The cancellation policy displayed during the booking process applies. Where the cruise is operated by Amsterdam Boat Cruises or another third-party supplier, the terms and conditions of that supplier may apply. Unless otherwise stated, the standard free cancellation period is 24 hours before departure.
Events and Special Event Tours
Full refund when cancelled up to seven (7) calendar days before the scheduled start or departure time, unless different conditions are expressly stated for the event.
5.3 Late Cancellation
No refund will be granted for cancellations made after the applicable free cancellation period has expired, unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by mandatory law.
5.4 No-Show
If a participant fails to arrive or arrives too late for the activity, this will be considered a no-show.
In the event of a no-show, the participant is not entitled to a refund, rebooking, replacement transport, or any other form of compensation.
5.5 Partial Participation
Participants who voluntarily join an activity late, leave early, or use only part of the booked activity are not entitled to a full or partial refund.
5.6 Bookings Made Through Third Parties
Where a booking has been made through a reseller or booking platform, including but not limited to GetYourGuide, Viator, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Tiqets, Klook, Musement, or any other sales partner, cancellations must be submitted through the same platform.
The cancellation policy accepted during the booking process on that platform shall apply.
5.7 Third-Party Tickets and Services
Tickets sold by Hop On Hop Off Holland but provided by a third-party supplier are also subject to the terms and conditions of that supplier.
Where a ticket is non-refundable under the supplier’s terms and conditions, Hop On Hop Off Holland cannot guarantee any refund.
6. Rebooking and Amendments by the Participant
6.1 Request for Rebooking
Any request to change a booking date, departure time, boarding location, activity, or the number of participants is subject to availability and must be submitted before the expiry of the applicable free cancellation period.
Hop On Hop Off Holland is under no obligation to accept any requested amendment.
6.2 Price Differences
If the amended booking is for an activity or date with a higher price, the participant must pay the difference.
If the amended activity or date is less expensive, the participant shall only be entitled to a refund of the price difference if this has been agreed in writing in advance.
6.3 Final Rebooking
Once the participant agrees to reschedule a booking to another date or time, this shall be regarded as a final amendment to the original agreement.
After a booking has been rescheduled, the participant may no longer rely on the cancellation period that applied to the original booking date.
The amended booking shall be governed by the terms and conditions confirmed in writing at the time of the rebooking.
6.4 Administrative Fees
Reasonable administration or amendment fees may be charged for booking changes, provided that such fees are communicated to the participant in advance.
7. Right of Withdrawal for Online Bookings
7.1 Activities with a Specific Date or Time
For leisure activities, passenger transport services, excursions, cruises, events, and admission tickets that are provided on a specific date or within a specific period, the statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) does not apply.
Bookings for such services may only be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy set out in these Terms and Conditions or as specified during the booking process.
7.2 Tickets Without a Fixed Date
Tickets or services that are not linked to a specific date of performance may, where applicable, be subject to a statutory right of withdrawal.
Where such a right applies, the participant will be informed during the booking process.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude any mandatory consumer rights provided under applicable law.
8. Departure Times and Attendance
8.1 Timely Arrival
Participants must arrive at the designated boarding location at least fifteen (15) minutes before the scheduled departure time, unless a different check-in time is stated in the booking confirmation.
The stated departure time is the time at which the vehicle or vessel may actually depart and not the time at which participants should arrive at the boarding location.
8.2 Participant's Responsibility
Participants are solely responsible for:
a. verifying the correct date and departure time;
b. locating the correct boarding location;
c. allowing sufficient travel time;
d. any delays caused by trains, buses, taxis, flights, ferries, or other means of transportation;
e. arriving on time with all required tickets and travel documents.
8.3 Late Arrival
The Organizer shall not be liable for any consequences resulting from a participant's late arrival.
The vehicle, vessel, or tour group is not obliged to wait for late-arriving participants.
If a participant misses an activity due to late arrival, they shall not be entitled to a refund, rebooking, replacement transportation, or any other form of compensation.
8.4 Intermediate Departure Points
Where an excursion includes an agreed meeting time or departure point during the activity, participants must be present at the specified location at the designated time.
The excursion may continue without the participant if they fail to arrive on time.
Any costs incurred for taxis, public transport, accommodation, or returning to the group shall be borne entirely by the participant.
9. Changes or Cancellation by the Organizer
9.1 Minimum Number of Participants
Hop On Hop Off Holland reserves the right to cancel an activity if the predetermined minimum number of participants has not been reached.
Participants will be informed of such cancellation as soon as reasonably possible.
9.2 Operational Changes
Hop On Hop Off Holland reserves the right to amend an activity where this is necessary to ensure its safe, responsible, or proper execution.
This may include changes to, among other things:
a. the route or order of the itinerary;
b. the departure time or duration;
c. the boarding or drop-off location;
d. the vehicle or vessel used;
e. the driver, skipper, guide, or operating partner;
f. a visited location or programme component;
g. the language in which live guidance is provided.
Minor or non-material changes shall not entitle the participant to cancel the booking, receive a refund, or claim compensation.
9.3 Material Changes
If a material change is made before the activity begins, Hop On Hop Off Holland will, depending on the circumstances:
a. offer a suitable alternative;
b. offer participation on another date;
c. offer a voucher, which the participant remains free to decline where mandatory law provides a right to a refund; or
d. refund the amount paid for the cancelled or unperformed part of the booking.
9.4 Cancellation by the Organizer
If Hop On Hop Off Holland cancels an activity in its entirety and the participant does not accept an equivalent alternative, the booking amount paid directly to Hop On Hop Off Holland for that activity will be refunded.
The participant shall not be entitled to reimbursement of any additional costs, including but not limited to travel expenses, parking fees, hotel accommodation, meals, taxi fares, or flight costs, unless such compensation is required under mandatory applicable law.
9.5 Third-Party Services
Where part of a booking is cancelled by a third-party supplier, Hop On Hop Off Holland will make reasonable efforts to offer an appropriate alternative or other suitable solution.
Any refund may be subject to the terms and conditions and reimbursement policy of the third-party supplier where Hop On Hop Off Holland acted solely as an intermediary or reseller.
10. Delays and Programme Changes
10.1 Estimated Times
Arrival, return, and travel times are estimates only. Delays may occur due to traffic conditions, congestion, bridge openings, lock operations, weather conditions, or other operational circumstances.
10.2 No Guarantee of Connections
Participants are responsible for allowing sufficient time after the activity for flights, trains, cruises, restaurant reservations, theatre performances, or any other onward travel or appointments.
Hop On Hop Off Holland does not guarantee connections with other means of transport or scheduled appointments.
10.3 Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Delays or programme changes caused by traffic congestion, bridge openings, roadworks, navigation restrictions, weather conditions, strikes, demonstrations, events, security measures, government actions, or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Organizer shall not automatically entitle participants to a refund or compensation.
This does not affect any mandatory rights granted to participants under applicable law.
11. Services Provided by Third-Party Suppliers
11.1 Organizer or Intermediary
For each activity, Hop On Hop Off Holland may act as:
a. the organizer of the activity;
b. the reseller of an activity organized by a third party; or
c. an intermediary between the participant and a third-party supplier.
The role of Hop On Hop Off Holland will be apparent from the product description, booking confirmation, or the circumstances of the booking.
11.2 Responsibility of Third-Party Suppliers
Where it is clearly stated that a third-party supplier is the organizer or contractual party, that supplier is solely responsible for the performance of its services.
In such cases, Hop On Hop Off Holland shall not be liable for any shortcomings of the third-party supplier, except where liability arises under mandatory law or where Hop On Hop Off Holland has failed to fulfil its own contractual obligations.
11.3 Amsterdam Boat Cruises
Where a cruise is operated by Amsterdam Boat Cruises, the general and operational terms and conditions of Amsterdam Boat Cruises may apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions.
12. Safety and Conduct
12.1 Compliance with Instructions
Participants must comply with all reasonable instructions given by drivers, skippers, guides, traffic marshals, venue staff, employees of Hop On Hop Off Holland, or third-party suppliers.
12.2 Refusal of Admission or Removal
The Organizer reserves the right to refuse admission to, or remove a participant from, an activity where the participant:
a. is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances;
b. behaves aggressively, discriminatorily, intimidates others, threatens others, or otherwise poses a danger;
c. endangers the safety or comfort of others;
d. fails to follow reasonable instructions;
e. causes or threatens to cause damage;
f. disrupts public order;
g. does not possess a valid ticket; or
h. fails to comply with the rules applicable to the vehicle, vessel, or visited location.
In such cases, the participant shall not be entitled to a refund or rebooking. Any damage or additional costs may be recovered from the participant.
12.3 Smoking and Prohibited Substances
Smoking, vaping, and the use or possession of prohibited substances are not permitted in vehicles, vessels, or other locations where prohibited by law or house rules.
12.4 Damage Caused by Participants
Participants are liable for any damage caused through their acts or omissions to vehicles, vessels, property, employees, other participants, or third parties.
13. Children and Minors
13.1 Supervision
Minor participants must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless expressly agreed otherwise in advance.
13.2 Responsibility of the Accompanying Adult
The accompanying adult remains responsible for supervising the minor throughout the entire activity.
13.3 Age Categories
The participant's age on the date of the activity determines the applicable ticket category.
Proof of age must be provided upon request.
Where an incorrect or discounted ticket has been purchased for a child, payment of the applicable price difference may be required before participation is permitted.
14. Health, Mobility and Accessibility
14.1 Participant's Own Assessment
Participants are responsible for determining whether their health, physical condition, and mobility are sufficient to participate safely in the activity.
14.2 Special Requirements
Any mobility impairments, wheelchairs, walking aids, medical equipment, assistance dogs, or other special requirements must be communicated before booking or as soon as reasonably possible thereafter.
Please note that our coaches and boats are not wheelchair accessible.
Hop On Hop Off Holland cannot guarantee that every vehicle, vessel, building, or programme component is fully accessible.
14.3 Medical Conditions
Participants are responsible for bringing any necessary medication and medical equipment.
Employees and representatives of Hop On Hop Off Holland are not required to provide medical treatment.
In an emergency, the Organizer may arrange appropriate medical assistance. Any costs relating to medical treatment, transportation, or repatriation shall be borne by the participant unless the Organizer is legally liable for such costs.
14.4 Refusal on Safety Grounds
Where, in the reasonable opinion of the Organizer, participation presents a serious safety risk to the participant, employees, or other guests, participation may be refused.
In doing so, applicable legislation relating to equal treatment and accessibility will be respected.
15. Luggage and Personal Belongings
15.1 At the Participant's Own Risk
Luggage and personal belongings are carried entirely at the participant's own risk.
Participants remain responsible for safeguarding telephones, cameras, jewellery, documents, money, luggage, and other valuables.
15.2 Limited Luggage Capacity
Large suitcases, pushchairs, bicycles, mobility scooters, and other bulky items may only be transported where sufficient space is available and prior approval has been obtained.
15.3 Lost Property

Any costs relating to postage, transport, or delivery of lost property shall be borne by the owner.
15.4 Liability
Hop On Hop Off Holland shall not be liable for the loss, theft, exchange, or damage of personal belongings unless such loss or damage results from a failure attributable to Hop On Hop Off Holland for which liability cannot be excluded under mandatory applicable law.
16. Food, Beverages and Allergies
16.1 Advance Notification
Dietary requirements and allergies must be communicated before the booking is made or no later than the deadline specified for the relevant activity.
16.2 No Guarantee
Hop On Hop Off Holland will make reasonable efforts to communicate dietary requirements to catering partners but cannot guarantee that third-party catering providers can provide completely allergen-free products or environments.
Participants with severe allergies remain responsible for verifying ingredients and methods of preparation.
16.3 Own Food and Beverages
The consumption or bringing of personal food and beverages may be restricted or prohibited in certain vehicles, vessels, or locations.

17.1 Activities in Various Weather Conditions
Activities may proceed in rain, wind, cold, heat, or cloudy weather.
Participants are responsible for wearing suitable clothing, footwear, and protection appropriate to the weather conditions.
17.2 Safety Decision
The Organizer shall determine whether an activity can be carried out safely.
Unfavourable or less attractive weather conditions alone do not entitle participants to cancel free of charge or to receive a refund.
17.3 Programme Adjustments
Where weather conditions are considered unsafe or unsuitable, the Organizer may amend the programme, route, vehicle, vessel, or any part of the activity.
18. Force Majeure
18.1 Definition of Force Majeure

Where appropriate, Hop On Hop Off Holland will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative activity, a new date, a voucher, or a refund for the part of the activity that could not be performed.
A voucher will not be imposed where mandatory law entitles the participant to a refund.
18.3 No Additional Compensation
Force majeure shall not entitle participants to compensation for indirect or consequential losses, including hotel costs, transport expenses, missed flights, or other consequential damages, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
19. Liability
19.1 Performance of Own Obligations
Hop On Hop Off Holland shall be liable for direct damage resulting from a failure attributable to Hop On Hop Off Holland in the performance of its own contractual obligations, to the extent that such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

19.3 Maximum Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the liability of Hop On Hop Off Holland shall be limited to the amount paid under its liability insurance policy in the relevant case, plus any applicable deductible.
Where, for whatever reason, no insurance payment is made, liability shall be limited to a maximum of three times the booking amount paid for the relevant activity, subject to an absolute maximum of €2,500 per booking.
This limitation shall not apply where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law.
19.4 Wilful Misconduct and Gross Negligence
No limitation of liability contained in these Terms and Conditions shall apply where the damage results from wilful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the management of Hop On Hop Off Holland, or where such limitation is prohibited by law.

Where additional investigation is required, the participant will be informed accordingly.

The most recent version will always be published on the Hop On Hop Off Holland website.
26. Invalidity or Unenforceability
If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is found to be wholly or partly invalid, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the purpose and intent of the original provision.
